Please review the following guest terms, messaging policy, and cancellation policies for The Sandbar Lodge at Torch Lake.

Terms and Conditions

Prices and Taxes

All rates are listed in USD and are subject to applicable Michigan state and local taxes and fees. Rates may change based on season, availability, and special events.

Payment and Terms at Check-In / Check-Out

A valid credit card is required to book. Payment may be collected before arrival or at check-in. Guests are responsible for damages, missing items, or policy violations.

Check-In: After 4:00 PM
Check-Out: Before 10:00 AM

Early check-in or late check-out may be available for an additional fee.

Traveling with Minors

Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Adults are responsible for supervising minors at all times.

Accessibility or Special Needs

Please contact us before arrival regarding accessibility needs or special requests. We will do our best to accommodate based on availability.

Parking

Complimentary on-site parking is available for registered guests. Vehicles and belongings are parked at the owner's risk.

Hotel Events

Private events, weddings, and group gatherings may occasionally take place on property. Quiet hours and guest conduct policies remain in effect.

Dispute Resolution / Issues

If any issue arises during your stay, please notify management promptly so we can work to resolve it. Michigan law governs all reservations.

Use of Personal Information

We collect guest information only for reservations, communication, and service delivery. Personal information is never sold and is handled responsibly.

Liability

Guests assume responsibility for their safety and belongings during their stay. The resort is not liable for loss, theft, injury, weather disruptions, or events beyond our control.

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations or disruptions caused by severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, utility outages, or other unforeseen events.

Third Party Rights

These terms apply only between the guest and The Sandbar Lodge at Torch Lake.

Waiver

Failure to enforce any policy does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms remain valid.

SMS and Text Messaging Policy

Consent

We use a guest messaging platform to communicate with you regarding your stay. By providing your phone number during the booking process, you consent to receive text messages from the property.

Purpose

Text messaging may be used to send check-in instructions, access information, room readiness updates, and to respond to your requests during your stay.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. You will receive a final confirmation message, after which no further SMS messages will be sent.

Privacy of Mobile Data

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Cancellation Policies

South and West Lodges and Full Lodge Buyout

Guarantee Policy Summary

A percentage of the total reservation cost will be charged at the time of booking (50%). A credit card is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged 30 days before your arrival date. Taxes and fees are included.

Cancellation Policy Summary

  • This reservation is partially refundable and is based on the following fee schedule.
  • If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount.
  • If you cancel within 30 days of arrival, you will be charged 100% of the total reservation amount.
  • No-Shows will be processed the same as cancellations.

Lodge Suites (Standard Rooms)

Guarantee Policy Summary

A percentage of the total reservation cost will be charged at the time of booking (100%). A credit card is required at the time of booking. Taxes and fees are included.

Cancellation Policy Summary

  • This reservation is partially refundable and is based on the following fee schedule.
  • If you cancel more than 60 days before arrival, you will be charged 5% of the total reservation amount.
  • If you cancel between 60 days and 30 days before arrival, you will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount.
  • If you cancel within 30 days of arrival, you will be charged 100% of the total reservation amount.
  • No-Shows will be processed the same as cancellations.
